This case is rated 4/5 difficulty, offering a medium-to-high difficulty challenge that rewards logic, patience, and attention to detail. It’s designed for players who’ve enjoyed previous Cryptic Killers mysteries and want a thought-provoking investigation with complex motives and layered clues.
Most players take around 3 hours to complete the investigation, depending on experience and how deeply they explore the evidence. It’s ideal for a full evening of detective work at home.
The case can be played solo, as a couple, or with a small group. Many players enjoy tackling the evidence collaboratively, discussing theories, and comparing deductions throughout the game.
You can share the case with friends once you’ve completed it, but since the mystery has one definitive solution, it’s best experienced once per group. Many players pass it on to others to see how they solve it.
This mystery was so much fun! This was the first one I’ve ever done and I’ve already ordered 3 more!
Excellent - we were very immersed in the whole investigation. Will be buying more of these for sure! Made my birthday. Thank you.
I really enjoyed this puzzle. Sifting through all the evidence was great fun and occupied a couple of evenings.
This my 3rd case and I love them, might have to start buying them for myself rather than waiting for Birthdays & Chrismases.
Growing up in Germany with my mother, crime novels/movies/audiotapes were part of our household entertainment. 40 years later, my mother visited me in the US, where I live and she got this game for Christmas. I couldn't wait to get our "learned" detective minds to combine efforts on a very, very, very smart game. We've spent around 10-14 hours this week working through the case. Besides wanting to "murder" each-other on disagreements (lol), for the first time in my life, I was able to get a real-glimpse into the thinking and work-through a crime. We learned a LOT and felt moments of serious pride, tons of high-fives, AND we made an "investigative board." BEST game! We are so thrilled and excited; hooked.
